Fringe

Bodypump first thing, which again I enjoyed (tried out some higher weights for one part but no chance of lifting them….yet!) then home to get showered and changed and down to the station to meet C&T who are in Northumberland on holiday for a week and spending a day here. We started with doughnuts and cinnamon buns at Room and Rumours, sitting out in the sun. Spent most of the day chatting ….about retirement, family, holidays, house purchasing and improvements, long distance walks etc etc. Wandered around town soaking up the atmosphere and watching the street performers (got very caught up with Doroflea the performing flea!).
Late light lunch at St Johns having looked round the craft market, then to see a show about police procedures, then down to Cowgate to see another show, which was a magic show done in a straightjacket (odd but actually really well done!).
Popped home to let them see the flat and collect A to go out for dinner. N not well….either a bad cold or Covid although tests are negative. We went to Soi 38 and enjoyed supper with A talking about the house hunting and her job. They heard yesterday that both the houses they liked have been sold without waiting for a closing date even though one of them had set the date for next week. Very disappointing….
Walked C&T to the station to say goodbye and then home. A made some chocolate biscuit bars to take for someone’s birthday at work tomorrow and I looked through my diary a bit to plan out the next few days.
