Concentration!

This juvenile Green Woodpecker visited our front garden this afternoon just as we were enjoying a mug of tea.  These birds are very ungainly when walking around, but this chap was looking pretty expert in his digging for ants.

I had a shutter speed of around 1/125th which wasn't enough to freeze his very swift and sudden movements.; but it felt good to have such a beautiful creature so close to us.
