Friar Street

We've had quite a nice day.  We set off this morning to visit Queen Elizabeth House near Worcester Cross which only opens very occasionally.   Apparently Queen Elizabeth I visited the house one time, that was when it was positioned on the opposite side of the road, in the 1800s it was decided to move the whole place to a new position, reason seems to be lost in history, maybe they wanted to put a Starbucks where it was sitting.

As we were walking home we had a call from Emma saying she was in town, so we arranged to see her, and Raffy, at the Greyfriars House cafe.  There we had a spot of lunch after playing football with Rafferty on their garden lawn.  He really is getting the hang of ball play, great as he's only just mastering walking!

After Em and Raff left we joined a conducted tour of the National Trust property. This was very good led by a very knowledgeable young man who knew how to hold our attention.

The photo is of Greyfriars House and part of Friar Street home to some of Worcester's oldest buildings.....and yes those are watering cans and shrubs strung out above the street. Don't ask why, I've no idea!
