Lockdown art
During Covid artist Maureen Mitchell taught herself gelatine printing, a process needing no access to print workshops or printmaking equipment. What's more she could work in her own garden studio.
The result is the current exhibition in Dunblane museum, a delightful collection of prints based on natural foliage.
As a professional artist, Maureen used her experience in traditional printmaking to produce a body of work using a variety of techniques reflecting her interest in the natural world.
