Taters

Not too bad for 5 store bought potatoes that had sprouted :-) This was the easiest potato harvest ever. I had put straw on top  of the ground and the potatoes were right at the surface. And the soil was very loose so I just ran my hands through and gathered them. Now they are hardening off a bit over in a box in the farm house. I've been eating on them for a while so there were a few more than these. The plants had been really chewed on by potato beetles and basically had no leaves left but no damage to the actual potatoes!
Our other potato bed is all volunteers from potatoes I missed last fall. That will be fun to see what is there. Those plants are still growing though and weren't in such a sorry state as these were.
