autumn is coming

Sorted the remaining bits of the house, emptied the fridge and closed the door. That's it. Morning at KB. One of the PhD students made a lovely saffron and cardamon cake and we had quite an extended coffee break. I did write 10 lines of code which I committed. Then walk to my former boss' house for a lovely BBQ. Most colleagues from my team including quite a few retired ones came. Sadly one couldn't come as he was recovering from COVID. Lots of lovely things to eat, plenty of beer and lots of lovely chats. I will miss them. We eventually left and I am staying with a colleague who is taking me to the airport Sunday morning.
