Building Dahlia Planter Boxes

The time is right to plant the special dahlia tubers we purchased earlier this spring.

Two new planter boxes are just what the master gardener ordered.

We made the plans and bought the cedar lumber earlier this week.

Yesterday we cut up the lumber; today we measured, drilled, and counter-sunk 64 holes for the lag screws.

Tomorrow we put the puzzle together.

It is so pleasant to savor a simple project like this by spreading it out over several days maximizing the fun involved.

Carpe retirementium!
