Late visiting this year

I 've finally seen a few snowberry clearwings around this last week , but no hummingbird clearwings. Everything was late this year so I suppose they were waiting for the buddleias to bloom . This area of NY is considered more than normally dry , but not officially in a drought. I haven't been watering due to occasional rains, but mostly because we have a well and I have been concerned it won't last .
