Comedy tomato

I’ve never grown tomatoes before, strictly flowers normally.  But i thought these were beautiful when i saw the plugs at Sarah Raven.  I gather the cracks are because they haven’t had enough water…how much can they need? I water every night. Also they grow well in the Mediterranean- are they fed and watered like this?  Anyway, one has a silly appendage so I’m happy. 

Came down on the 8.30 train, lunch at Kings X with buyer from the Middle East and then came on down to Petersfield to meet Patrick, Cathy and Mary who have arrived from Australia to stay for Mum’s birthday weekend. 

Mary came back to ours for dinner and an early night.  So good to have her here and good to be home.
