Abdication

Today Netherlands celebrates.
Queen Beatrix resigns as Mother of the nation and gives the scepter to her son Willem Alexander.
He may from 10:07 be the King of the Netherlands.
After the abdication they first appeared together at the balcony of the Royal Palace on the Dam in Amsterdam. Princess Beatrix, King William Alexander and Queen Maxima.
Then Princess Beatrix stepped back and the three daughters appeared with their father and mother.
It was an emotional moment to experience.
