Grey day at Allandale
It's been a gloomy day in Christchurch, quite different from the last week or so. The autumn colours muted, today's blip is from a very overcast Lyttelton harbour.
Not much was happening on the mudflats at Allandale; a lone Royal Spoonbill slowly wandered over the grey sands whilst a small group of Paradise Ducks paddled on the shoreline. Just before I pressed the remote shutter a White-faced Heron flew lazily overhead.
Why is it that life happens in slow motion on a grey day?
