Blocked path

It has finally stopped raining. I took a walk down by the river but my walk was cut short by the raging water. Much of the village was washed away in the great flood of 1940 but now there is a canalised section 5 metres deep to prevent this happening again. The noise of the water is impressive. I had to take care with my footing as a slip would have been bad news.
Nicole asked me to take the French conversation class in her absence so a rapid recording of TV5 snippets was required plus transcripts to study. Otherwise the day was spent trying to sort out Nursing care arrangements in the UK with social services.
