Around the loch

We are staying in Ballater for a couple of nights. The main event will be tomorrow when we attend the Lonach Gathering and Highland games at Bellabeg. Today we walked 9 miles or so around Loch Muick on the Queen's Balmoral estate. In the photograph Mistress Talpa is heading across the stepping stones at the head of the loch.

Extra. On the walk we came across a delightfully hairy green caterpillar which I think is a Miller moth caterpillar (Acronicta leporina).
