Racing again at Road America, this time with Spec Racer Fords (locally known as Smurfs).

Sometimes, starting a race can get a little rough.....one driver gets forced left, he's in the turf and kicks up all sorts of dirt and grass which flies directly into the open cockpit of the cars behind him/her.

It's one of the hazards of driving an open cockpit car and often leads to accidents among the trailing vehicles. But Smurfs are a low cost way (read as "still expensive but not astronomical") of getting into racing so they are very popular and typically one of the largest classes on track.
