Works, Vol. VII

This turned up in the post this morning at work, with a handwritten note to say that it was being donated to the library as we have the other 8 volumes in stock but not volume 7. No information about the donor, but there was a receipt for £15 tucked inside the front cover. It’s in a right tatty state so I’m not sure we’ll want to keep it!

My initial reaction, as it’s part of a series called The Anglo Catholic Library, was that it was donated by some religious fanatic, but a nicer suggestion is that the donor was being helpful. We’ll never know, but I don’t think the existing volumes have had much use over the years!
