the Black House
The voyage went well. The train journey as well. The trein from Maastricht to Valkenburg would consist of train replacement transport by means of buses, so we chose to cycle home.
Back home the big cleaning started. We undressed and left clothes and full panniers outside, showered and put on clean clothes. We have read on the internet that everything should be washed at high temperatures or put in the freezer. I can't seem to find anything to do with the charging cords or the down sleeping bags. We put the cords and plugs in the empty fruit basket in the middle of the table. I put a lot of freshly cut lavender in our shoes. There are even more items that can neither be washed nor frozen. We leave it outside in the 'dirty' zone.
We assume that during the first month we should not bring anything from the ground floor to the bedrooms or attic to avoid the chance of bed bugs in our bed. We may be exaggerating, we may not. We won't find out.
