Hanging floats

A pair of floats was hanging from a tree branch down by the beach, loved how much had collected on this one. Difficult to tell what was under the collection! It was quite cool for my early morning walk, starting to feel a bit like fall. A perfect temperature for a brisk walk.
Kalyn's team won the 2nd match yesterday in 4 sets. They're off to California this week to play in another pre-season tournament.
Extra: I meant to include this as an extra last Wednesday or Thursday. We were early for the ferry to go to the mainland on Wed., and we sat on the bench of a picnic table in the shade while we waited. We saw a young woman and an older woman coming up the path, and what were the chances that it was Emma, one of Krista's best friends, and her mum!  Emma had said to her mum that it was too bad that a couple was sitting there, only table in the shade, then she recognized us. We couldn't believe it! We had a great visit with them, and Emma took the photo to send to Krista. The best of surprises! We've known Emma since she was a wee girl. Her family lived just up the street from Krista. She's been teaching for a year, but in October, she and her boyfriend Jordan are heading off on an adventure, a few weeks in London then off to Perth where Jordan's parents live. They'll go to Melbourne next and plan to live there for at least a year. Emma and her mum had spent a couple of nights here for a little getaway before she leaves. Difficult for her mum though, so far away, but hopefully she and Emma's dad will have a chance to visit Australia. I had to wave to Krista!   :-))
