The Shrine.....

.....is Victoria's national memorial honoring the service and sacrifice of Australians in war and peacekeeping. It's a site of annual observances for ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day and is one of the largest war memorials in Australia. An amazing place to visit, poignant. My extra a collage showing a shot from the observation balcony of the city and scenes from the gardens surrounding the Shrine.
Weather started with clouds and drizzle making way to blue sky, still required a jacket with winter clothing.

We visited the Italian precinct for dinner, enjoying authentic pizza which was delicious then moving on for sweet desserts at Brunetti's, a real treat!

PS Catching up with a few backblips while waiting to board the plane in Sydney. We've had an awesome time away, I'm now looking forward to seeing if spring has arrived in my garden. Must fly, battery getting low on my phone :)
