Don Berwick

Amazing speaker to close out CleanMed 2013. Don Berwick is founder of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and former head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He has been finding, implementing, and driving innovative changes in the US healthcare system for years and is responsible for saving thousands of lives and probably millions of dollars. His talk was about how well sustainability fits in with the goals of the IHI and how much he learned about environmental responsibility and its natural links to healthcare when preparing for this speech! Great event!
