The Last Day

Tomorrow our grandchildren go home so we planned a good last day, starting with breakfast at Occombe Farm Cafe. We promised them the beach again so moved on afterwards to Babbacombe. They love the play area in Cary Park, where we park, so we spent an hour there before going down to Oddicombe Beach on the funicular railway. The view is from the cliffs above so you can see why a railway to get you up and down is needed. We usually walk but we were carrying quite a lot and it is great fun for little ones. We took our own cream tea which we ate after a swim. There was a bit of a swell but we all managed, and the children enjoyed the danger, safely in their parents arms. The beach wasn’t very crowded ( see extra).
