Salt’s Mill

We went to see the Ian Beesley photography exhibition at Salts Mill today which was excellent. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in social history, the North or photography. Superb!

There is also a display of Hockneys 90 metre long iPad painting , also on the wonderful top floor of the Mill. I am afraid that left me cold, and I found the joist holders and other building features far more pleasing. It is such a stunning building, and never ceases to delight me.

Grandad as blipped yesterday worked for Salts all of his working life , but not at the flag ship Saltaire site, but at the smaller Damems Mill in Keighley.  Perhaps the building is in my genes!
