Exceedingly Good
Before l came to stay at Tim’s we had already agreed that we would go to the BBQ at the Moorcock Inn at Norland.
First we we did a really enjoyable walk on the moor, especially lovely as the heather was out.
It was a drop in sort of event, l had been told the food was good but l didn’t expect it to be that good!
We shared:
Rare breed 16 hour roast hog
Sunflower seed hummus
Wood roast Padron Peppers
Corn on the Cob with Old Worcester Cheese, crispy onions and creme fresh
Crispy smoked potatoes with roasted yeast mayonnaise
Focaccia bread straight out of the oven.
Backchat Brass played funky music, it was just fabulous.
We had brought our own chairs and a picnic rug so didn’t have queue for a table, such a wise move, Tim and Adele have been before and knew how easier this would make it.
The saddest thing is that the current proprietors are not renewing the five year lease next January so this was the last Bank Holiday BBQ they will ever hold.
