Today's the day .......................... to cut the grass

For a couple of days now, there's been lots of activity in the big field down the road.

We are aware of it because it involves an endless stream of huge tractors pulling even bigger trailers, that go up and down the road.  They're either full to the top and on their way to wherever they deposit their loads - or empty going back to the field to get more.  Either way, they're very noisy.

I'm not sure whether it's for hay or silage but it's the fourth crop that's been taken off that field this summer.  Surely that's too many?  And the way to ensure that the grass will grow that much - is to spray it with liquid manure as soon as you cut it.

So yes, we've got that process to look forward to in the coming days ......................!
