Interloper

I went across to mount edgcumbe and up to the rose garden to sit and finish my book, a delightful book called The Keeper of Stories by Sally Page. After I had finished it I was leaving to go for a walk and happened upon the sight of these flowers, I think possibly lilies, reaching out between the rose bushes! If I see the gardener I will ask if he planted them! They are very beautiful in any case so very welcome at this time of year when the roses are all but over!
