Still Summer.

Although looking at this photo it has more of an autumn feel, except for the green.  This a new path to me.  I wanted to get shots across Bassenthwaite from higher up that would include Skiddaw.  I started at Braithwaite following a relatively steep road until it opened up to a country track, but still all up hill.  Every so often I took photos, some others may appear here, too.  A passed a couple of families on their way down, with their children taking advantage of the downhill, everybody was pleasant.  It was a cloudy day with a light cooling.  Bassenthwaite Lake is to the left and Derwentwater is to the right.  These lakes were once one lake.   No rain although would be good to get some (like many other parts of the country.)  Hope you had a good Bank Holiday.
