Salt and Pepper Pots

A big thank you to Yeeeeed who gave friend Helen and I the idea for doing this walk today to visit the locally named 'Salt and Pepper Pots'.  It was a smashing seven and a bit miles of long views across to several of this part of Yorkshire's peaks:  Flasby Fell; Ingleborough; Whernside and Pen-y-Gent, with a glimpse of Pendle Hill (on my blip) over the border.  We had planned to travel further afield today but decided to explore closer to home.  Apart from an adventurous Mum and her young daughter, and one very annoying guy talking far too loudly on his phone as he walked the ridge behind us, we saw no one from leaving the valley to reaching it again.

Back in Sutton, we paused for a welcome cuppa at the Bowling Club in Jubilee Park, which was buzzing with folks and families enjoying the sunshine.  A most enjoyable half day out in good company.

My blip is of Cowling Pinnacle (or sometime Wainman's Pinnacle) in the distance beyond Earl Crag.
