Scammonden Reservoir

Tuesday 30th August 2022

I have taken the three days off this week to give myself chance to do some jobs around the house and catch up, ready for the busy months ahead. I set off back home first thing but did a slight detour cross country over Saddleworth moor. It is a lovely route with great views and made the journey more interesting, especially as the light was so good. I stopped to grab this shot of Scammonden reservoir. I have taken this view before but wanted to show the water level. It actually wasn't as low as I expected. This is a stitched panoramic of three photos.

I arrived home in time for some lunch, then set to work. I've cut back some bushes and filled both green bins as it is collection day tomorrow. Hopefully they will be full again by the end of the week. The first load of ironing is done and the next load of washing is washed. In between, during breaks, I've learnt a bit more about my camera.

I've recently discovered a couple of websites that offer photography talks on zoom so I've just enjoyed two hours of an artist sharing his work using the little H0 people. I know, it is far too long since my little people made an appearance, something that I need to address. I hit a block with them but I will try to release it, tonight was a start.

Hopefully tomorrow will be as productive.
