Shield Bug On Blackberries

Bank Holiday Monday today, so I thought it best to avoid the local beauty spots. Instead Mum came and enjoyed a lunch of mussels and chips outside on the balcony with me at home. We had a lovely relaxed time and then I took her back to the care home where we learned that the main dish on the evening menu was mussels and chips!!! Mum loves them, so it was a double dose for her today :) 
I then went to dinner with friends. The hostess had prepared a sumptuous meal, much enjoyed by us all - a very lovely evening in great company, including my friend who is currently over from Uganda.
