Watching Paint Dry

Work continued today on our gutters and porch, so Mr P and I decided to head off to Gala to buy some paint for our front door.
We’ve also decided to change our bedroom curtains to something heavier and we wanted to cost an alternative to the Castle Warehouse. The alternative was a rather eye watering £1300 so we won’t be pursuing it! We did buy paint from this lovely old store that’s been in Gala and owned by the same family for over a hundred years. The present owner has been working there for 47 years and is retiring next month. Sadly the store will close then. On a happier note, once we were back home after an Aldi shop, Mr P batch baked two loaves. His best yet!
