Chenonceau

we went to visit the Chateau de Chenonceau today.  I loved how all the rooms were beautifully decorated with flowers (see extra). 
When we went out into the gardens I could see where they came from as even later in the season there are still flowers everywhere. The chateau is best known for both its gardens and its situation over the water. During the war it straddled across occupied France on one side of the river and Vichy on the other so was used to smuggle people into the Vichy side.
