Festival and Fringe are over, but the giraffes are still around. 

Walked over to the New Town, had tea at the Portrait Gallery, looked at the flat we plan to buy. 4 weeks to completion, as best we can guess.

 Now I know where the washing machine goes, so can work on ordering one. If any of you in the UK have recent (last 12 months, say) washing machine brand experiences to offer, good or bad, I'm all ears. 

Tram back. Princes Street was much quieter than it's been these last few weeks, not jammed with taxis at the end of the working day.
