A trip to the bookshop early in the afternoon. Because there was roadwork nearby, I hadn't been able to access it these past few months (I stayed in the car while Julie went). The roadwork is now finished and I was able to park near the door. I bought the latest novel by an author I discovered in 2019 (I read her when I was at the physio clinic), and Julie bought the latest by an author we both like and have been following for years.

When we came back, I sat on the bench in our garden and read The Life and Death of Sophie Stark by Anna North.
