Windrush

A new statue in Waterloo Station, honouring the Windrush Generation of immigrants from the Caribbean from the 1940s to the 1970s. It’s a nice tribute; too bad that the government has treated some of these immigrants and their children so badly. 
I went up to East Finchley today for lunch with friends Janet and John. I hadn’t seen Janet since Covid except on Zoom, so it was good to catch up properly.
