Looks Good on Paper

A day of frustration for me. Concept sketches and specifications are all well and good until the limitations of production become clear. But design is never dull. I'll give you that.

It was interesting talking to a design student a while ago who couldn't figure out what the point was of learning to draw by hand. Maybe drawing will eventually disappear as a commercial skill but I can't think of a better way of quickly getting the feeling for a project. It seems to retain an element of art, not just technology.

Maybe I'm just an old fart.
