   Took delivery of a packet of specialist bird food this morning and immediately emptied it into a container. Green came down to see what was going on. There were some pieces of food left in the packet and he soon let himself in to investigate. Blue decided to join him but she wanted Green to feed her.

   Then it was playtime. Both of them tried to nibble their way through the packaging but because it was empty it just got pushed around and around. Eventually it got pushed off the bookcase and onto the floor. I left them with it while I made a cup of tea. By then they had moved onto something else. Packet now in the recycling bin as it is made from a plastic (but recyclable) kind.
