Pacifastacus leniusculus

Two years ago, 11th August 2020, I already mentioned the (invasive) Signal Crayfish in the Gersprenz, see here.
Since then this little beast spread dramatically over the whole river. In our area the fisherman (and his family) catches so many that they (almost) give them away.
I pulled one trap out of the water today, and it was really filled with these lobsters.
I am definitely not a fan of hunting (on the land or in water), but in this case I see the need. And since they, the crayfish, seem to taste pretty well, I assume eating them is a good way to fight them.
