2803. Marischal College

We’re back home after our two day trip to Aberdeen. We had a wander around the city this morning.

After the euphoria of yesterday afternoon we were brought back down to earth with a bump in the evening. My friend’s blood test results have resulted in his chemo being suspended for a month, much to everyone’s disappointment. It only brings home to us what a rollercoaster ride cancer is. He will have to wait and see if his bloods show any change over the next four weeks and if not then his chemo may have to cease altogether. Not the best news after all the excitement…..

We left Aberdeen feeling a little deflated but then realised that after so many years of this, our friend is still here and still doing what he can to live each day as it comes…something we all should try and do……
