I’m visiting my mother for a few days. It’s really hot in Wiltshire, but she has taken delivery of a couple of electric fans - one for the living room and another for her bedroom.

Despite the heat, we have a relaxing time. I’m working from my room for much of the day. She’s trying to get to know the home carers - although I don’t really think she wants strangers in the house.

While having one of many herbal teas, I notice a picture of a young Angus on the mug. In it, he’s fettling one of good homemade catapults. Good memories.
