National Railway Museum

As Dave and me are the children of trainspotters and model rail enthusiasts, we didn't feel that we could come to York without a trip to the Railway museum. Trains galore... a great section of open storage of train related stuff... but the bit that both of us liked was the area that looked at the social history of trains, which included the royal coaches as well as old film footage and some atmospheric interpretation...

Dad's you would have been proud of us :-)
