Broch…

on a brilliant morning of sun and unbroken blue. Standing on top of its walls and looking into the interior, the entrance is left and the opening on the right is the entrance to the staircase between the double wall.  On the hilltop far right is the statue of the ‘wee Mannie’, Duke of Sutherland, reputed to be responsible for the Clearances in this area,although his wife and factor proved to be more guilty. His castle, Dunrobin appears far left of the Broch.
