Small Tortoiseshell

I first spotted this Small Tortoiseshell butterfly on the rapidly withering Buddleia bush but just as I was preparing to take a photo it was off.

Fortunately it came to rest right in the middle of a red dahlia which was growing just outside the Pollok glasshouse.

There were a few Peacocks resting on the very sad looking Ox-Eye Daisies but having blipped one earlier in the week I decided to choose the Tortoiseshell for today,
