No Swimming In Tne Sand

A long walk today through a pine forest running the length of a peninsula. It was pleasant amongst the trees and the walking easy going. The path emerged at the tip giving way to a view of the sea, then circled along the shore, returning by way of a wide beach. Not a sole in sight for a long time.

Clearing some dunes onto the beach brought us into the wind making it hard going for the return leg. Wet sand was a relief to walk on when it appeared.

The sign amused me. All but covered and facing the wrong way (for the sea), it was in the dunes and miles from any access.
