Clear waters

I walked up to Gurnal Dubs for a swim, lovely as ever but definitely getting cooler now autumn advances.  This is the river on my way home, where Bowston weir used to be.  Perhaps one day as the river settles down and creates pools, and the residents of Staveley and Burneside continue to work towards getting the River Kent to be sewage free and clean enough to be of  bathing quality, then maybe I will be able to swim nearer home?
