Quiet back waters

This morning I had to take my car to the other side of town to be serviced, which gave me the opportunity to walk back, via the nature reserve. It is hard  to believe this peaceful scene is but ten minutes walk away from the bustling centre of Winchester. I could almost  imagine the  Lady of Shalott floating  down the stream.  
The city centre was actually not too busy as it was the first day of term today for many schools.
