Queens Day
We experienced the Queens Day celebrations in Amsterdam last night and today. We walked around last night for several hours watching people partying in the streets all dressed in Orange, then today we wandered around the markets which had sprung up overnight selling all sorts of wares. The Mistress didn't use me too much as there were simply a sea of people everwhere.
Queen Beatrice stepped down and her son was made King today - so a very unique celebration today.
After lunch we went to Vondelpark and sat on the banks and drank beer - or rather the Mistress did. I had the big 120-400mm lens attached and was taking photos birds in flight instead.
It got too cold so we headed back home for dinner and an early night.
