Hogmanay at the Tron

A visit to the Apple store (my wife’s laptop) took me past the new hoarding designed to brighten up the works on North Bridge. It was recently announced that the works will continue for many many more months.

The artist Chris Rutterford painted this in 2013 and has updated it for use as a hoarding.

Definitely better than what was there before.

(For those who don’t know Edinburgh, the Tron is the
Kirk at the corner of the High Street and the Bridges.. it was the traditional place to gather on Hogmanay and, occasionally smash whisky bottles against the side of the Kirk. Nowadays empty!)
