While most flowering plants are suffering
in our extreme heat, this BIRD OF PARADISE
peaks through the leaves, in the dappled morning sunlight, almost unaware.

Today was considered a bit of a break in the heat, at 100F (37.8C); but Sunday will be
102F. I am looking ahead to late next week
when it will drop down to the 80’s.

Summer is leaving with a roar.
