Blinkered
Today's photo is a good example of how we totally ignore the everyday things that we see in our peripheral vision.
I have walked past this bench, under the Buttercross, a gazillion number of times and I have never realised that there was writing on it :o
Rather bizarrely, I only stopped to take the shot because I noticed the diamond stonework in the flooring.
And therefore it's rather ironic that my hasty point and shoot attempt actually missed out the diamond pattern totally, and instead, focused on the writing :)
I will endeavour to actually take time out, this week, to sit on this bench and ponder on my peripheral vision... And then I will actually capture the diamond stonework :o
