View from Acme Feed and Seed

The conference begins with drama. A delegate has a seizure during the opening plenary. He’s ok, but his shoulder gets broken during the CPR.

After that, the day unfolds as expected. Highlight for me is Cat’s session. Next door, Matt has a full house for his Example Mapping session.

We head into Nashville for the evening (naughtily busting out of the conference ice breaker). It’s still hot (over 30C) and the “party zone” is mobbed, even though it’s a week day.

We walk past many bars, discounting them because the music is too loud on the street, let alone actually going inside.

At the bottom of the main drag is Acme Feed and Seed. It’s a multi storey bath and music venue, but there’s a roof garden that’s got great views, relatively peaceful sounds and a slight breeze.

We eat, drink, and finally head back to Opryland for a night cap. Possibly the most expensive shot of bourbon that I’ve ever bought. But it’s very nice, and sets me up for sleep.
