Home.
The boy is home.
It's not quite as bad as everyone, including the vet, expected although we are not out of the woods yet at all.
He had his MRI and they have found two things. He has a slipped disc in his neck which will hopefully be operated on early next week and a void in his brain - whatever that is. The vet didn't say tumour but he did take some spinal fluid which may give them an idea what it is. It could be something he's always had and the vet doesn't think it's got anything to do with his legs. I'm going with the 'if there's two ways of thinking of something and one of those ways makes you feel happier than the other then go with it' way of looking at things.
We picked him up around 5 ish and brought him home. He has to basically have crate rest but as he can't really walk at all atm a crate isn't really necessary. We have a crate but it would be very difficult for Rob to get him in and out. So we've bought a pen so if necessary he can be lifted in and out of it.
Good to have him home but sad to see him not being able to do what dogs do.
In other news I took Jennie to her midwife appointment. All going very well and she was able to record his heart beat which is amazing to hear. They have got a load of stuff from Adam's sister too - clothes, car seats, carrycot. I think she just wanted rid of it all but great that it'll save them quite a bit. They've sorted through and taken what they want and will give the rest to charity.
PS. Sorry I'm still being very lax on visiting others journals and replying but my head is elsewhere as I'm sure you can understand.
